## Problem

Rural India lacks maternal-health monitoring. Built a wearable + iOS app that streams vitals to ASHA workers.

## Engineering approach

- MAX30100 (SpO2 + HR) + EMG sensor over BLE.
- ThingSpeak as IoT broker; Firestore for clinical records.
- Role-based UX for mothers and healthcare workers.

## Technical decisions

- Firebase over custom backend — hackathon constraint.
- Designed offline-first; sync when online.
